Course Objectives
This SecurityX Advanced Bootcamp will enable participants to:
- Design and implement enterprise security architectures across complex hybrid cloud environments
- Master the four domains of CompTIA SecurityX (CAS-005) with hands-on security engineering labs
- Implement zero trust architectures, automation (IaC, scripting), and emerging cryptographic technologies
- Lead security operations including SIEM implementation, threat hunting, and incident response at scale
Target Audience & Prerequisites
SecurityX is designed for security architects and senior security engineers with significant hands-on experience. Recommended background:
- Minimum 10 years IT experience, 5+ years in security roles
- Equivalent knowledge: Network+, Security+, CySA+, Cloud+, PenTest+
Course Delivery Format
Format: Virtual (Zoom) or On-Site
Duration: 5 full days (typically 09:00 - 17:00)
Style: Advanced labs, architecture design workshops, threat modeling exercises, and real-world enterprise scenarios
Course Content
The course covers all four domains of the SecurityX CAS-005 exam:
1. Governance, Risk, and Compliance (20%)
Security programme documentation, risk management frameworks (NIST, CSF, CSA), threat modeling, compliance standards (PCI DSS, ISO 27000), and attack surface analysis
2. Security Architecture (27%)
Cloud security (CASB, CI/CD, containers), network architecture (segmentation, microsegmentation), zero trust implementation, and security boundaries
3. Security Engineering (31%)
Automation (scripting, IaC), cryptographic technologies (PQC, homomorphic encryption), vulnerability management, and cryptographic applications
4. Security Operations (22%)
SIEM implementation, threat hunting, incident response, malware analysis, and vulnerability mitigation strategies
The final day includes advanced architecture design exercises, exam strategy for performance-based questions, and a comprehensive review of all four domains.
